SEVEN EASY STEPS TO BUILD

GRAVITY WHEEL INVENTED BY ORFFYREUS

First Step: Understanding the Statement of Orffyreus.......

In order to understand the ‘secret’ of Orffyreus Gravity Wheel, we need to understand the “nature” of internal structure of his gravity wheel, especially, the “laws of mechanical perpetual motion” and to learn how they accord with each other.

Orffyreus stated:

"The internal structure of the machine is of a nature according to the laws of mechanical perpetual motion, so arranged that certain disposed weights, once in rotation, gain force from their own swinging, and must continue this movement as long as their structure does not lose its position and arrangement."[i]

The above statement is very much vital in its content regarding description of his Gravity Wheel that can be considered as the  “whole” statement from the Orffyreus about the working mechanism of his Gravity Wheel. A “whole” is always greater than sum of its parts. In order to understand the “whole,” first, we need to understand the parts and their working. Listen to what Bessler is saying! It is the relationship between “the Nature of the internal structure” and “the laws of the mechanical perpetual motion” that is the most important! They must be in harmony with each other.

“So arranged”- the arrangement is secret. Orffyreus doesn’t hint in detail.

Certain disposed weights is another secret. The weights are the essential part. The weights swinging and rotating around the axle along with wheel constitute perpetual motion. As long as they remain out of the center of gravity, they receive the universal movement that keeps them moving. Weights gain force from their own swinging. Here Bessler is referring specifically to weight themselves and their changed centre of gravity by swinging, and not talking about the wheel remaining out of the center of gravity; again I would like to emphasize the fact that Orffyreus is talking about the weights themselves remaining out of the center of gravity by swinging.

Here Deva Ramananda comes to our help    for a better understanding of his Gravity Wheel; let us divide his “whole” statement into the seven parts as follows. We will study each part of the Gravity Wheel with respect to Orffyreus’ statement word to word, and then, rebuild the “whole” to understand how the gravity wheel of the Orffyreus works.

The statement regarding working mechanism of his Gravity Wheel can be divided in following SEVEN [ii] parts:

Orffyreus stated:

1."The internal structure of the machine is of a NATURE

2. according to the laws of mechanical perpetual motion,

3. so arranged

4. that certain disposed weights,

5. once in rotation,

6. gain force from their own swinging,

7. and must continue this movement as long as their structure does not lose its position and arrangement."

Deva Ramananda relates these SEVEN[iii]  statements to mystery of seven Chakras (Wheels) of the internal body of man. When they are awakened, step by step, through practice of meditation and Yoga, there is great awakening of “Kundalini Shakti”, after that man possesses great powers known as “Siddhis”, therefore, a man who desires to obtain perpetual motion need to proceed in the similar manner.[iv]  Therefore, by the virtue of the truth contained in them, these  seven statements also constitute our  seven steps to the design of the  Gravity Wheel invented by Orffyreus.

Let us directly switch to what Orffyreus states about the laws of mechanical perpetual motion. Orffyreus first emphasizes the fact that the “Nature of internal structure” of machine must be according to the “laws of mechanical perpetual motion”. That’s indeed a great revelation.

What does he mean by the statement the “Nature of internal structure”?

What are the “laws of mechanical perpetual motion”?

1Knowing “The Nature of the Internal Structure” of the Gravity Wheel

By the statement “Nature of the internal structure” Orffyreus means the essential qualities or characteristics by which mechanical perpetual motion is affected and recognized. The nature of internal structure is the main material causal agent creating perpetual motion and controlling the entire behavior of the Gravity Wheel. By the statement “Nature of internal structure”, Orffyreus also means the main attributes that determine characteristic actions and reactions of parts of his Gravity Wheel. What are these main attributes? He does not mention directly them but he states indirectly that the “Nature of internal structure” must be in accord (harmony) with laws of mechanical perpetual motion. It is very much obvious that if we can understand the laws of mechanical perpetual motion fully, then, we can also understand the “Nature of internal structure” of his gravity Wheel. Since laws of mechanical perpetual motion and its corollaries are extremely simple to understand, we infer that the internal structure of the Gravity Wheel also consists of simple arrangement of the parts, in other words, it is simple to design the Gravity Wheel.

Orffyreus unequivocally states that the Nature of Internal structure of Gravity Wheel obeys the laws of mechanical perpetual motion. It should be noted that here Orffyreus is specifically referring to “mechanical” domain of laws of perpetual motion. It shows that he was well aware of the other kinds of laws of perpetual motion, viz.  laws of philosophical, scientific,  and metaphysical perpetual motion equally.

2. Understanding the Laws of Mechanical Perpetual Motion

What Are Fundamental Characteristics Of Law Of Perpetual Motion?

According to Deva Ramananda, law of perpetual motion is represented by Universal vibration and pulsation by which nature thrives forever..  Balance, harmony, complementarity, and synergy are the main ingredients of laws of perpetual motion. Pulsation is a periodically recurring phenomenon that alternately increases and decreases some quantity, a regular periodic variation in value about a mean which causes the rhythmic contraction and expansion of some object.

Deva Ramananda classifies the “Grand law of perpetual motion” into following categories for a better understanding:

1.    Laws Of Philosophical Perpetual Motion

2.    Laws Of Scientific Perpetual Motion

3.    Laws Of Mechanical Perpetual Motion

4.    Laws Of Chemical Perpetual Motion

5.    Laws Of Cosmological Perpetual Motion

6.    Laws Of Astronomical Perpetual Motion

7.    Laws Of Sociological Perpetual Motion

8.    Laws Of Metaphysical Perpetual Motion

Deva Ramananda goes at a great length to explain all kinds of laws of perpetual motion; he fills almost 100 full pages to explain each kind of them, beginning from laws of philosophical perpetual motion to the laws of metaphysical perpetual motion. However, for the paucity of space and time, here I would focus only on the laws of mechanical perpetual motion as referred by Orffyreus also.

Before explaining laws of mechanical perpetual motion, Deva Ramananda  suggests four different explanatory principles or causes in his science of perpetual motion i.e. science and technology of energy creation: (i) The material cause is the basic substance out of which the various parts of the Gravity Wheel  are  made (like the building materials for a house); (ii) the formal cause is the pattern or the design in conformity with which various parts of the machines are arranged and assembled (like the builder’s plan of the house); (iii) the efficient cause is the agent or force immediately responsible for the production of the energy (builders of the house), in the case of Orffyreus’ Gravity Wheel,  the gravity is the main agent or force; and (iv) the final cause is the end purpose, desire  for which the Gravity Wheel    exists, in the present case, it is the desire to create energy or power  like shelter to the resident of the house. Deva Ramananda believed that the four causes are essential in the existence and nature of all things; therefore, the “Nature of the internal structure” in relation to inventor and his purpose must also demonstrate these causes.

To sum up, everything, which is created, must have a cause, for without ‘cause’ nothing can be created.  What causes perpetual motion machine to create energy? Design of the machine is formal cause, and its various parts a material cause. Gravity is the efficient cause and perpetual motionist and his tools, or inventor and his purpose, his “Will” or consciousness, is the final cause.

According to Orffyreus the requirements for the Gravity Wheel to follow the laws of mechanical perpetual motion are as follows:

His Gravity Wheel requires a particular “arrangement” of parts.

1. What type of “arrangement” it must be?

3. Understanding the “Arrangement”.

What type of “arrangement” it must be?

By his statement “so arranged”, Orffyreus means an orderly grouping of weights and other parts   considered as a unit; the result of arranging of weights, levers, their spatial properties, particular positions with respect to each other, centre and periphery of the wheel. In other words, orderly, mutually corresponding arrangement of various parts of the Gravity Wheel produces a proportionate, stable, and balanced form of endless motion greater than original motion.

 4. Understanding the Disposition of Weights

Certain Weights Require Certain “Dispositions”.

4a. How many weights we require?

4b. What kind of “disposition” weights require?

By the statement ‘disposition’ of weight, Orffyreus means a natural or acquired pattern or characteristic tendency of weights to behave in a certain manner. It is a natural or acquired characteristic tendency of weights by which they swing and maintain their relationship with other parts of Gravity Wheel. By disposition of weights Orffyreus also means inclination of weights, especially, one that favors one alternative movement over others.

Now we need to learn the ‘natural’ and ‘acquired’ tendencies of the weights in his Gravity Wheel.

Now what is the most “natural” tendency about the weights?

First, weight is a force that induces downward acceleration of objects.

If there is no friction, then, weight rises to the same level from where it is dropped. But we know that friction exists in every part of machine when parts interact with each other, therefore weights are required to gain more force from their own swinging to overcome friction and perform additional work like raising a weight or water, or grinding corn etc.

Weights are first required to be set in rotation, then, if above conditions of arrangements of parts, their dispositions, positions and swinging of weights as stated by Orffyreus are continually fulfilled, his Gravity Wheel will remain in state of rotation, as long as the structure and position of parts must remain intact, it is obvious that weights here describe a close path.

5 Understanding The Nature of Rotation

Orffyreus knew it well that there is reciprocity in the interaction among various parts of the Gravity Wheel as well as forms of forces involved in the operation of the Gravity Wheel.

Before knowing what the main forces are working on a Gravity Wheel set in perpetual motion, we need to understand the nature of rotation. A moving charge is influenced by a magnetic field and a moving charge creates a magnetic field. Similarly, when an object is set to rotate centrifugal force is produced at no expenditure of energy. Centrifugal force is more or less like gravity. Therefore, Gravity too must be capable of setting an object in a rotation and in doing so the rotation must be capable of performing works. This is the simple logic behind the Gravity Wheel. So it is not difficult to see that simple reflective thinking has enabled discoverers to make great discoveries. Using same reflective thinking Michel Faraday was able to invent dynamo and electric motor. He saw permanent magnet produced magnetic field, which behaved like the magnetic fields produced by a solenoid of wires carrying electric current. When Faraday produced an electric current in a coil of copper by moving a magnet near it, and thus converted the mechanical work of moving the magnet into electric energy, he brought science and technology to a turning point.

6. Weights gain force from their own swinging.

6a. How do weights gain force from their swinging?

6b. How do they swing?

Through swinging, each weight gain more force. It hardly needs to be mentioned that it is some special kind of swinging.

What kind of swinging it is?

Swinging does not mean some weigh hanging freely, by “swinging” Orffyreus means:

1.    Changing location of weights by moving back and forth.

2.    They move in a curve or arc, usually designed by him with the intent of hitting the board.

3.    Weights Changes the direction with a swinging motion or they turn.

4.    Weights alternate dramatically between high and low moments.

5.    And by following above actions, weights decisively influence entire behaviors of the machine, in such a manner, that entire mechanism transforms into a perpetual motion machine.

Now the basic question arises: how does swinging of weighs impart additional force?

Inclined to swing by the nature of its design and nature of gravity, some weight freely suspended in the air by chord will not swing perpetually because friction in surrounding is involved. Therefore, we need to introduce certain elements in the design of the Gravity Wheel by which heavy weight will ‘acquire’ tendency of swinging perpetually. How this can be achieved?

That depends on the type of “constraints” Orffyreus used in his machine. The natural inclination of weight is to fall downward in a vertical line, but by providing suitable “constraints” in the form of guides, curvature of spokes, the vertical fall of weights can be directed to gain maximum mechanical advantage while they are rotating on the wheel. It is not difficult to achieve. When this was achieved Orffyreus stated that weights gain more force by their own swinging. ……..

I am of the opinion that Orffyreus is describing his secret here. Regarding source of the power, he says quite clearly that the weights are the essential parts and constitute perpetual motion itself. I really don't see how anyone can think otherwise. By referring to the “universal movement, he clearly reveals that movements of the weights follows the laws of celestial mechanics. In the Dialogues from the Castle of Weissenstein, Deva Ramananda goes on to give more details as Orffyreus  says from them is received the universal movement.

I think Orffyreus provides  clear indication in his words that their is an internal structure well organized functioning like a unit that develops a force that causes preponderance of the moments through their characteristics swinging applying asymmetric moment to the axle. In each cycle of operation of the wheel the symmetry is broken. It is similar to the principle of “advantageous Change of Centre” realized by Edward Somerset II Marques of the Worcester.

So introductory part is over here, Next time, I Step will be continued in detail…..keep visiting “The Fortress of God”

DIALOGUES AT THE CASTLE OF WEISSENSTEIN

The translation was done about 1925 by Lieut. Comm. R.T.Gould who wrote "Oddities".

"The internal structure of the machine is of a nature according to the laws of mechanical perpetual motion, so arranged that certain disposed weights, once in rotation, gain force from their own swinging, and must continue this movement as long as their structure does not lose its position and arrangement.

"Unlike all other automata, such as clocks or springs, or other hanging weights which require winding up, or whose duration depends on the chain which attaches them, these weights on the contrary, are the essential parts, and constitute the perpetual motion itself; since from them is received the universal movement which they must exercise so long as they remain out of the centre of gravity; and when they come to be placed together and so arranged one against another that they can never obtain equilibrium, or the punctum quietus which they unceasingly seek in their wonderfully speedy flight, one or the other of them must apply its weight at right angles to the axis, which inturn must also move."

[iv] Deva Ramananda: A perpetual Motionist in Himalayas

Few inventors have reached the same heights of perpetual motion as Deva Ramananda, who had the privilege of witnessing a Bamboo Wheel and learning at the feet of his Guru, Swami Ram Dulare. One day, when he asked his Guru to show him a sure way of advancing in spiritual life and arriving at the heights of perfection, his Guru suggested him that there was no other way for him to reach perfection   than to meditate on perpetual motion. So he placed a perpetual motion machine in the front of his cave and told him to pray before it, contemplating the wonderful mysteries which he had seen take place with his own eyes.    Swami Ram Dulare, Guru of Deva Ramanada was a great Yogi who  traveled heights of Himalayas on his bicycle and spent great time in Sidhhasrama there. Deva Ramananda also describes Ram Dulare’s “Bamboo Wheel” with great interest.
